Girls basketball was re-introduced to Alabama durinq her sophomore year in 1975-76, and she ended up scoring 49 percent of Lexington's points that season - averaging 20.1 points per game durinq a 10-1 season. She also qualified for the state mile relay event as a sophomore. She was an All-County performer as a junior as she scored 35 percent at the team's points, while qualifying tor the state mile run event. As a senior she averaged 18.6 points per game and was selected All-County and All-Area. She also set county and school records in the mile run, while also playing a key role in Lexington's state championship volleyball team. Her career 793 points represented 40 percent of the team's points during her three seasons. She became one of UNAs best players ever, both offensively and defensively. She became the lions all-time leading scorer with 1,056 points as she played in all 116 games during her career. She was also in the top 10 at UNA in career steals, blocked shots and field goal percentage. She led the team in scoring as a senior, with a 16.7 average. Atter graduating, she became active in the USTA tennis program where she has advanced to the sectionals four times.
