Coffee

Corey was a standout two sport athlete from Coffee High School. In basketball, the 1999 graduate had a total of 2,168 career points which made him Coffee’s all-time leading scorer. He started a total of 110 games with 102 of them being consecutive. His career average was 20 points per game. He made Times Daily All-Area teams 1996-1999. He led his teams to win the Times Daily Classic Tournament in 1997 and 1998. He was the slam dunk champion both years. In 1999 he was named the Times Daily Player of the Year. That same year he was also first team All-State, 5A Player of the Year, and selected to play in the Alabama / Mississippi All-Star game. In football, he was a 3 year starter with a total of 16 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He was the team’s leading receiver1996-1998. He led the team in interceptions in 1996 and 1998. He received Times Daily first team All-Area Defensive Back honors. Was All-Area Wide Receiver in 1997 and 1998. He led the team with 30 catches, 10 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions and made Honorable Mention All-State Wide Receiver.
