Killen, Karen

A four-year starter for Mars Hill, leading the Panthers to three consecutive state championships and an 87-18 overall record during her four seasons. Mars Hill was 32-2 during her senior year. For her career, she scored 2,475 points, grabbed 791 rebounds, had 591 assists, and 564 steals. Her averages in each category increased each of her four years. She was voted to virtually every all-star team and ranked in numerous induvidual awards, including All-America by Street and Smith magazine. She was Miss Basketball during her senior season after averaging 24.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6.1 steals each game. She signed with Kentucky and had one NCAA Tournament appearence before moving to Lipscomb University, where she earned All-National Tournament Team honors .
