Lovelace, Phyllis

Phyllis was a standout basketball player at Wilson High School 1979-1980. She was named to the All Area and All County teams 1980 and 1981. In 1980 she averaged 24 points per game in high school and was named to first team All-American in the AAU Junior Olympics, while scoring 79 points in four games in Nationals. She had a single game point record of 39 points. She was named Times Daily Lauderdale County Outstanding Athlete in 1981. She had a total of 1,547 points in high school. She also made All County team in volleyball in 1981.
