Brooks

She was a three-sport letter winner for four seasons at Brooks; basketball, track, and volleyball. Her basketball teams compiled a 66-18 overall record during her final three seasons. She scored 2,175 points and grabbed 1,667 rebounds during her career for averages of 26 points and 20 rebounds per game (before three pointers were implemented). The Lions were 26-5 during her senior season. She scored 54 points in one game, 48 in another and had several games where she scored 40 or more. She was on the first TimesDaily All-Area team for girls and was named All-County and All-Area three times each. In track she competed in shot put, discus, and was a member of the mile relay team. She was second in state her junior and senior seasons in the discus throw, and second in shot put and second in the mile relay. She was an All-Area performer in volleyball. She played basketball for two seasons at UAH, setting a school record for field goal percentage in her first season (60 %) and helping the Charges to the NAIA Regional Finals the following season. She averaged 9.7 rebounds per game in that second season.
