Perkins, Venita

Venita was Times Daily 1A-3A Player of the Year, Lauderdale County girls Player of the Year, and All State in class 3A her senior year. She averaged 19.3 ppg and 9.3 rpg. She had a career 1,569 points. She signed to play with Calhoun Community College where she averaged 13.6 ppg and 5.9 rpg her sophomore year while helping lead her team to a spot in the National Junior College Athletic Association women’s basketball tournament. She went on to play at UAH where she was selected to the All Gulf South Conference team after averaging 15.3 ppg and 6.4 rpg her junior year. She was selected UAH / Coca Cola Player of the week multiple times during her two years at UAH.
