Stejskal, Jay

Jay played collegiate basketball at Florence State / UNA 1969-1973. He led the team in Free Throw Percentage in 1971 at 77.4%. He coached in 599 boy’s basketball games at Wilson High School 1973-1998. He also coached junior high football, junior high and varsity softball for 5 years. The softball team won a county, and area, championship and placed 3rd at state. He was named the Times Daily Area’s Best Coach in 1989. He served as principal and athletic director at Lexington and Lauderdale County high schools before retiring. He came out of retirement to assist his daughter, Erika Llewellyn, with coaching.
