Rogers High School

He was a four sport standout for Rogers High School. In 2001 he was an All-State Receiver, Times Daily Offensive Player of the Year, Wide Receiver first team, All-Area, and All-County. His junior year stats include 40 rushes for 505 yards and 6 TD’s; 37 completions for 675 yards and 5 TD’s; kickoff return average 24 yards; and punt return average 22 yards. His senior year stats include 61 catches for 986 yards and 12 TD’s, 7 rushes for 250 yards and 4 TD’s, kickoff return average 35 yards and 3 TD’s, punt return average 26 yards and 2 TD’s, and 5 interceptions at defensive back with 1 TD. He was featured in Speed Magazine, Player of the Week 7 times. In baseball he was Times Daily 1A-3A 1st Team, All-Area, All-County, All-State honorable mention. His stats include batting average .495, 3 homeruns, 28 RBIs at leadoff; 7-1 pitching record with 1.50 ERA and 8 k’s a game; career stolen base record at Rogers with 61 which included 6 stolen bases in one game. He played in the Alabama East-West All-Star game which advanced to the finals at UAB. He had multiple scholarship offers for baseball and football. In his junior year in track, he placed 4th in triple jump and 5th in long jump at state. In his senior year he placed 3rd in both and 2nd in the 4x100 relay. He played for one year at Northwest Shoals Community College and Bevil State. His batting average was .317 with 1 homerun, 18 RBI’s and 10 stolen bases.
