Wilson

He earned a reputation as one of the top high school baseball coaches in the state during his 20 seasons. H is teams produced a 261-84 record and a state championship in 1985. Wilson won the county championship eight times and the area championship seven times. Twenty-seven of his players earned college scholarships during the 1980s. As a head football coach, his 13 teams have produced a 79-68 record and had three area championships. He graduated from Waterloo High School in 1967 after being selected as All-District in football, All-County in baseball and Mr. Waterloo High School during his senior year. He played football three years, basketball five years and baseball six years at Waterloo. He coached at Waterloo for three years before going to Wilson in 1979.
